Academic Integrity Program (AIP)

All coursework students enrolled in a new course are required to complete Curtin's Academic Integrity Program (AIP). Students are required to complete the program within 14 days of the start of their first study period in their course at Curtin.

The purpose of the AIP is to help students learn about the concept of academic integrity, Curtin's Values, and what Curtin expects of them as a member of this academic community.

This program will provide students with tools to successfully navigate tricky situations that challenge their academic integrity throughout their studies. Topics include ethics, Curtin's values and expectations for students, referencing, plagiarism, cheating, and misconduct processes and possible outcomes.

Frequently Asked Questions

Access to the AIP is through Blackboard. If you are new to course you will see a link to the AIP in your 'My Units' list once you have logged into Blackboard. Here is a document showing screenshots of what you will see when you access the program in Blackboard. You can access Blackboard through OASIS (https://oasis.curtin.edu.au/).

The AIP will take approximately two hours to complete. After working through the content of the AIP, you must pass a test with 80% correct or more to pass the program. You can retake the test as many times as you need to pass the program.

If you do not pass the program within 14 days after the start of your first study period of enrolment at Curtin, a sanction withholding your results will be applied to your account until you pass the program. You will see reminders to complete the AIP when you log into OASIS until you have passed it.

If you are having difficulty passing the program The Learning Centre at Curtin can help.

Make sure that you have completed all pages of the AIP content. If the problem persists log an OASIS Central support request via web form (click Contact Us on the top right hand corner of any OASIS screen).

It will take up to 48 hours for the sanction withholding your results to be removed. If it has been more than 48 hours since you passed the program and your results have not been released, log an OASIS Central support request via web form (click Contact Us on the top right hand corner of any OASIS screen).

Yes. If you are a Curtin student you can self-enrol in the AIP community site to view the content. The community site AIP does not include a test at the end.
